Update on Membership Payments at Kingfisher Squash Club

Dear Member,

We are writing to you today regarding some updates to how we manage membership subscriptions at Kingfisher Squash Club. To help streamline our administration, we have introduced Direct Debit as our preferred method of collection.

What this means for you

If your current payments (such as Standing Orders) are up to date and working fine, no immediate action is required . Your current payment method remains perfectly acceptable.

However, we are moving toward a Direct Debit system to make life easier for both members and our admin team. There are two scenarios where you might need to take action:

1. If a payment is missed: To ensure your membership remains active and your door access continues without interruption, any missed payments must now be resolved by setting up a Direct Debit mandate.

2. If you’d like to switch voluntarily: Many members find Direct Debit more convenient than a Standing Order. If you'd like to make the move now, you can do so at any time.

The Benefits of Direct Debit

Switching from a Standing Order to Direct Debit offers several advantages:

Flexibility: If membership rates change in the future, the amount updates automatically—you won’t need to manually cancel and set up a new instruction with your bank.

Security: You are fully covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee , providing peace of mind and protection against errors.

Simplicity: It’s a "set and forget" system that ensures you never accidentally lose club access due to an expired Standing Order.

How to Switch

If you need to set up a mandate—or if you simply want to get ahead of the curve—please visit: http://application.kingfishersquashclub.co.uk

Note: If you do choose to switch, please remember to manually cancel your old Standing Order through your banking app once the Direct Debit is confirmed to avoid being charged twice.

Thank you for being a part of the Kingfisher community. See you on the court!

Best regards,

Kingfisher Squash Club
