Important: Player Membership Requirements at Kingfisher Squash Club

Dear Members,

We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and a very Happy New Year! It has been great to see so many of you back on the courts already as we kick off 2026.

We are writing to you today to share an important reminder regarding court usage and our membership policy at Kingfisher Squash Club.

As our community continues to grow, our primary goal is to provide a fair and high-quality playing experience for all our members. To ensure the club remains sustainable and that court availability is prioritized for those supporting us, we must remind everyone that all players using the courts must be active members of the club.

Protecting the Value of Your Membership

We have recently noticed an increasing number of instances where guests are being brought in to play on a regular basis. While we love seeing new faces, the club relies on membership fees to maintain the courts, manage the facilities, and keep the lights on.

When non-members use the courts without contributing, it places an unfair financial and operational strain on the club. If this trend continues, we face a real risk of having to increase annual membership fees for everyone to cover the shortfall in revenue. We would much prefer to avoid this by ensuring that every player is a paying contributor.

How Guests Can Join

We would be delighted to welcome your playing partners as full members of the club. If you are currently playing with someone who isn't yet signed up, please direct them to our website to view our membership options:

Potential Changes to the Booking System

We currently operate on a system of mutual trust and would very much like to keep it that way. However, please be aware that if we do not see a significant change in guest play, we will be forced to implement strict technical updates to the booking system. This would involve mandatory player verification for every booking to prevent non-member access.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep Kingfisher Squash Club a fair, affordable, and thriving environment for all our members.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,

The Committee Kingfisher Squash Club
